Administrative and supportive positions in our headquarters
At Lidl there are career opportunities for candidates with different educational and professional background. You can work in a wide range of specialties, such as Accounting & Finance, Buying Department, Logistics, IT, Legal Services, Technical Department, Advertising, PR & Marketing etc. Administrative positions in these specialties there are mainly in Thessaloniki (Sindos), where our headquarters are located.
Accounting & Finance Department
The department of Finance & Accounting consists of the following sectors: Finance, general accounting and fixed assets, accounting of goods/ commodities and taxation. The department deals also with the monitoring of cash flows, realization and fund movements. Moreover in its activities belong invoices and fixed assets registration, the preparation of financial statements and budgets. The department also observes and fulfill all tax obligations and legal requirements.
Through the continuous monitoring of the market, the buying department tekes care of selecting the appropriate suppliers and the variety of our goods/ products/ commodities. The department deals with the availability and the quality assurance of the products, creating product labels and the configuration of the packaging of the products, while it continuously monitoring customers satisfaction, after the introduction of the product in our range.
Human Resources Management Department
The Human Resource Management Department creates all the procedures regarding, the company’s recruitment processes, payroll, training and employee support. The central infrastructures of the department located in Thessaloniki, while the Personnel Office in Larnaca supports the daily workflow, regarding a variety of human resources issues in Cyprus.
Governance, Riskmanagement & Compliance Department
The Governance, Riskmanagement & Compliance (GRC) department consists of the sectors of Legal Services, Data Protection, Compliance, as well as Riskmanagement, which also contains the insurances sector of the company. In particular, in the daily workflow of the department belongs the coordination of court cases. The department has also the duties to protect personal data, as well as to control all the processes, which aim to the lawful processing of personal data.
The IT Department is responsible both for the electronic data processing/ automation and the users support in offices and stores, as well as for the development of corporate applications and the management of a variety of projects. The department ensures the provision and proper operation of technological infrastructure in the whole of the company.
The Advertising Department is responsible for promoting our product range to our customers. It is also in charge of the design and creation of printed and electronic communication. It deals with the creation of flyers, printed matters, posters, visual materials for the stores, while planning new concepts and advertising campaigns. The department ensures corporate identity issues and takes care of the daily commercial advertising in all kinds of media, TV, radio stations, newspapers, magazines, websites and social media.
Food Quality Control Department
Για τον έλεγχο και τη διατήρηση των επιπέδων υγιεινής και των παραμέτρων ποιότητας είναι υπεύθυνος ο τομέας του Ποιοτικού Ελέγχου. Η αρχή γίνεται ήδη από τους χώρους παραγωγής των προϊόντων, όπου τα μικροβιολογικά και χημικά χαρακτηριστικά τους, και οι επισημάνσεις των ετικετών υπόκεινται σε ελέγχους. Έτσι πριν βγει το προϊόν στην αγορά εξασφαλίζετε ότι τα προϊόντα μας ανταποκρίνονται στις υψηλές προδιαγραφές που έχει θέσει η εταιρία. Στόχος είναι να προσφέρουμε στους πελάτες μας κάθε στιγμή ελεγμένα και φρέσκα προϊόντα στην καλύτερη τιμή.
Στον τομέα Προμηθειών επενδυτικού εξοπλισμού διεξάγετε έρευνες αγοράς, ελέγχους κόστους, αξιολογείτε τις προσφορές και συνάπτετε συμβάσεις με προμηθευτές. Πραγματοποιείτε παραγγελίες και διενεργείτε δειγματοληπτικούς ελέγχους. Η εργασία σας περιλαμβάνει σε σημαντικό βαθμό επικοινωνία με προμηθευτές, εντός και εκτός Ελλάδας.
PR & Marketing Department
Our company’s philosophy promotion in the public eye/ general public is the key objective/ main purpose of the department. It manages the corporate promotion and the communication with the media, undertakes all activities regarding the corporate social responsibility (CSR), takes care of the sponsorships, through which we support vulnerable social groups.
The Real Estate Department deals with the exploration/ discovery, purchase, hire, lease, and construction of our facilities and stores. The construction of the facilities undertake the team of employees in the engineering department, while in the building of the facilities participate employees with multidisciplinary specialties and level of education.
Product & Sales Management Department
The Product Management Department deals with the security and monitoring of the availability of the products in our warehouses, with the style of layout in our stores, with the product placement, as well as with the organizations of all advertising tools in the stores. The Sales Management Department is responsible for the report of indicators, development and support of sales projects and systems, regarding our stores, as well as for the implementation of new proposals/ suggestions, regarding sales in our stores.
Logistics is the department, which is responsible for the organization and management of products, through the supply chain. In Cyprus our central warehouse facilities located in Larnaca. The warehouses supply all our stores throughout Cyprus with fresh products, often more than once a day. This requires excellent management, regarding the transport of the products, from the receiving of the products to their delivery to our stores, using contemporary and high-tech solutions/ systems.
